Find out everything you need to know to make a wise decision.
Step 1 - Free Seminar
This informative seminar
is conducted by one of our surgeons or staff members, and attendance
is required prior to a first office visit.
Our Free Seminars accomplish three main goals:
- We clearly inform
potential patients
about the alternatives,
risks, benefits and
choices of weight-loss
surgery.
- We discuss and explain behavior modification necessary following
surgery.
- Establish realistic expectations, so that those who elect
to have surgery are prepared to make a commitment to change
their approach to eating.
It is a perfect opportunity to have all of your questions answered.
Typically, former patients attend these seminars and are willing
to relate their experiences and answer questions. You are encouraged
to bring your significant other so they can find out more, too.
Call today or Click Here to
find out when and
where our upcoming
Free Seminars are
scheduled.
Step 2 - Office Visit
Our friendly, professional staff will prepare you.
Following our seminar,
if you decide you are interested in having a surgical weight
loss procedure, we will immediately set an appointment for your
first office visit. There you will meet with our staff to learn
the details of the process leading to insurance approval and
surgery.
This may include X-rays
of the chest, complete blood chemistry testing, and pulmonary
and cardiac evaluation when indicated. You will also undergo
a psychosocial evaluation by one of our team therapists. You
will then be evaluated for surgery by our surgeons at which time
your surgery will be scheduled.
We make sure that every
patient gets evaluated by his or her own internist, or one that
works with us. This assures us that nothing is overlooked and
that you are in the best possible condition prior to surgery.
